“Orphans vol. 1” is the start of a series of photos I’ve taken over the years that I’ve always loved but for whom I could never find a home. This collection includes photos spanning from 2016-2019 from around the country and abroad. Most of these have never been seen before and I’m very excited to give them new life.

When I’m shooting photos for work, they’re primarily shot on a digital camera. When I’m shooting photos for fun, they’re usually on film and I’ve shot a ton of film over the past few years. A lot of these photos were taken on trips, on commercial shoots, at home, or just out walking the dog. Lots of little observations and bits and pieces and while there’s thousands of those images, there’s a few hundred I really love a whole lot.

It’s hard to find a home for these photos. Either they’re one-offs or subject matter that wouldn’t be interesting to a brand or magazine and it’s always made me sad for these to never see the light of day or have a home of their own, hence the title, “Orphans”.

I’m super proud of this book. A few of the shots are printed and hanging in my house. A couple made it to Instagram a few years ago but for the most part these have never been released. There’s photos from at least a half dozen states and even a couple from Japan as well. A few of you have photos in here and a few more of you were along for the adventure when these were captured.
