What do you do when an old friend calls and asks you to film his client [a multi-time Grammy-nominated jazz pianist in his backyard in Venice Beach] for a COVID concert series? You say hell yeah and get to work.

The Ask: Elevate the quality of production value for Mack Avenue Records’ video series featuring their artists in quarantine on a tiny budget in a tiny backyard with no location scout.
The Solution: Remote controlled cameras, long lenses, and all audio run through the artist’s studio and his amazing Apogee preamps [same pre’s we use at our home base].
With the preparation time we had (2 days) and the challenging budget, we’re proud of the result and we accomplished our client’s goals.
